Kumbhalgarh fort was built in 1458 AD is a Mewar fortress on the westerly range of Aravalli Hills, set amid massive ramparts and surrounded by hundreds of temples. It is claimed that the 36 km fort wall is the second longest wall after the great wall of China. The fort has seven grand gates and ramparts, one within the other.
